1) Yosemite

• a classic – did many hikes there; some areas are quite crowded – especially the ones you can easily get to by car; but otherwise neat

2) Sequoia:
did a few shorter and one 2-day hike there

• lovely red woods, and, as I discovered, bears;

• was nice to get away from crowds
